Bespoke Project: Dressy Cali Build

Here’s something a little different. A custom piece built entirely around one vision — sporty, dressy, and packed with personality. What makes this one even cooler? It was a full-on hybrid concept, with every part handpicked by a lady client who knew exactly what she wanted.

The Idea

This wasn’t your usual “off-the-shelf” combo. The goal was clear:

• A 36mm watch that feels sleek and wearable

• A Cali dial (because, let’s be honest, they’re timeless)

• Sporty but not too loud

• And a splash of color, because why not?

The end result? Something super clean, but full of character.

🕰️ The Build

We started with a 36mm Explorer-style case, which has that classic feel but works perfectly as a daily watch too. It’s small enough for comfort but still makes a statement.

The dial is a Cali MK2 from DLW — and if you know, you know. Roman numerals up top, Arabic down below, it’s got that old-school cool that sets it apart.

Then we added Samurai-style polished hands (just for that extra sharpness) and brought in a little pop with a turquoise lightning seconds hand. Just that one detail completely changed the vibe — sporty, playful, and eye-catching.

🧊 The Finishing Touches

To keep it clean and modern, we went with a white CTS rubber strap. Not only does it match the case and dial perfectly, but it makes the whole build feel fresh and versatile. Whether you’re dressing up or just going for a casual look, it fits right in.

The crystal is a flat sapphire with inner AR — clear, scratch-resistant, and does the job without fuss. Inside, it's powered by the NH38, so no date window here — just symmetry and simplicity.

✅ Final Thoughts

This build was fun from start to finish. It's not something you see every day — and that’s exactly the point. It’s a hybrid. It’s a little sporty, a little dressy, and totally unique.
