Desert & Delta: A Finemods × Leppen Watches Collaboration
At Finemods, every project begins with a story. When Leppen Watches approached us for a collaboration, we both knew this was about more than just creating another timepiece—it was about merging two worlds, two passions, and two geographies into a single watch. From the deserts of Dubai to the deltas of The Netherlands, this piece represents friendship, creativity, and craft.
The Build
The watch itself is a celebration of detail. Built on a Sub-style case, it features a marine blue bezel with a crisp white bottom, a dial accented by gold text, and our Finemods logo at 12 o’clock. The brushed finish on the case gives it a refined yet rugged look, true to the tool-watch spirit.
One of the requests during the design process was subtle but meaningful: “Could the crown carry the logo too?” Of course—it could. It’s small touches like this that elevate a piece from custom to personal, from modded to truly bespoke.
The Hidden Treasure
Flip the watch over and you’ll find what we both consider the heart of this collaboration—the caseback. There, side by side, are the Finemods and Leppen Watches logos. Together they symbolize the union of two independent creators, bridging distance and culture with a shared passion for horology. It’s not just an engraving—it’s a marker of the story that this piece tells.
The Process
The journey to this watch was as enjoyable as the end result. We worked closely with Leppen Watches on every aspect—style, movement, colors, and finishing—ensuring that no detail was overlooked. What’s remarkable is how seamless the process felt; the build itself came together faster than the moment it was finally unboxed.
