Bespoke Project: FM-4 Kermit Neo-Vintage

We’re back with another one-of-one build – and this time, it’s all about contrast and character. This custom project is based on our FM-4 case, which uses the MM-style body by DLW. It gives off a bold, sporty vibe right from the start – and when you pair it with our Neo-Vintage dial and a green ceramic bezel insert, it starts to look like something a little playful… like a Kermit, maybe?

This build balances sharp finishing and a fun dial-bezel combo, with a clean black base and green pop that works surprisingly well.

Dial & Hands

The Neo-Vintage dial keeps things minimal – black base, clean text, no date, and just enough retro vibe to feel timeless. On top, we’ve added polished Mercedes-style hands that shine nicely under the light. They're easy to read and match the classic diver aesthetic without being too flashy.

Bezel & Crystal

Here’s where it gets fun – the green ceramic bezel insert brings the whole watch to life. It’s crisp, has that classic Sub look, and feels fresh. Protecting everything is a double-domed sapphire crystal with blue AR coating, giving it a slight glow at certain angles and a premium feel on the wrist.

Bracelet & Case

The case itself is a brushed/polished MM-style by DLW – strong lugs, classic crown guard, all the diver elements you’d expect. It’s finished off with a brushed 3-link bracelet that wears comfortably and complements the rugged design without overdoing it.

Movement

As always with our core builds, this one runs on the reliable NH35 automatic movement. Time-tested, simple, and solid – just how we like it.

Final Thoughts

We love experimenting with colors that don’t always get enough love – and this Kermit-style combo turned out better than we expected. Neo-vintage with a twist, and built to be worn.
