Project RK – A Custom Sub-Style Stealth Build with Character

The Vision Behind Project RK

Project RK was born from a client’s desire for something that feels both bold and understated — a watch that blends rugged aesthetics with a hint of elegance. Built on the ever-reliable Sub-style platform, this bespoke piece reflects a clean, stealthy look with subtle silver highlights that bring everything together without overpowering the design.

Every detail of this build has been curated with purpose — from the texture of the case to the finishing on the hands and dial. This isn’t just a custom watch; it’s a personal statement.

Case & Bezel – Rugged but Refined

We started with a black sandblasted Sub-style case that gives the watch a strong, matte texture. It’s paired with a black ceramic YM-style bezel insert featuring a sloped edge for a smoother, more modern contour. The bezel design brings a sleek silhouette while keeping that tool-watch feel intact.

Dial & Logo – Personalized to the Core

What makes Project RK truly stand out is the custom-designed dial. Not only did we create a unique layout to match the stealth theme, but we also developed a custom "RK" logo for the client — giving the watch a personal identity you won’t find anywhere else.

The dial features polished silver indexes that catch just the right amount of light, perfectly aligned with polished Merc-style hands and a matching silver chapter ring. Subtle white text adds legibility while keeping things clean and minimal.

Crystal & Strap – Comfortable Clarity

Topping off the case is a double domed sapphire crystal with a blue AR coating, enhancing both clarity and durability. It plays beautifully with the polished accents under different lighting conditions.

The strap is a curved-end black rubber from Monstraps, offering a seamless fit to the case while keeping the comfort level high. Whether it's daily wear or weekend outings, it’s built to handle both in style.

Movement

Inside, it’s powered by the reliable NH35 automatic movement. A true workhorse that offers accuracy, longevity, and peace of mind — just the way a daily-ready custom watch should be.
